The Vº “FlamencoEñe” Awards
The 2020 edition will be held in December in Cartagena and the application submission deadline ends next Monday, September 24th.
It is a contest that aims to internationalize flamenco by directly promoting the jondo art of our country, encouraging the participation of Spanish flamenco groups in festivals, promoting international tours for members of the SGAE as well such as meetings and the exchange of experiences and knowledge between professionals in the sector in our country and the rest of the world.
To this end, the SGAE Foundation opens a public call, whose deadline for submitting applications ends on Monday, September 24th and which can be submitted here.

The second work will be at 9 pm under the title "Al Fondo Riela (The Other One) Excerpt from Trilogy on Guitar" and will take the stage with Eduardo Trasierra and Yerai Cortés.

In times of non-festivals, there will be a festival in Pamplona. Flamenco On Fire will be held once again, for the seventh consecutive year. It is a young, recent story, but one of resounding success, which has made other festivals look askance to the north, not without a certain suspicion.
Of course, the quality of the artists who have been passing through its different stages, including the great media figures, counts a lot: this year, for example, among others, Miguel Poveda, who will open the festival on the 26th, not in Pamplona, but, for the first time, outside the capital, in Tudela; Vicente Amigo, or Farruquito, who will have Remedios Amaya as a guest artist. And one of the already traditional variants in the contest: the Navarra Symphony Orchestra, which on this occasion will perform accompanying Chano Domínguez, a concert that will close the concerts of El Baluarte on the 30th.

The Flamenco Cultural Association "Amigos de la Guitarra" has already published the bases of the XXXVII National Flamenco Singing Contest "Ciudad de Carmona". An annual contest held in the Sevillian town of Carmona and sponsored by the Carmonense City Council, the Andalusian Institute of Flamenco, and the Ministry of Culture and Historical Heritage of the Junta de Andalucía.
According to the published bases, the submission of registration applications must be done before September 8th. In the general section, amateur singers who do not exceed the age of 60 can participate, and in the young section those who do not exceed 21 years old.

María Moreno is one of the premieres scheduled for the XXI edition of the Seville Flamenco Biennial. Bailaora from Cádiz who already won the Giraldillo Revelación at the 2018 Biennial for her show "De la Concepción".
Now, on September 18th at the Central Theater in Seville, she will premiere the new work "More (no) More." A show that creates an arc between the opposite poles of being, delving into the incoherencies of the soul and those setbacks that define us as human. It is also a vindication of dance for dance's sake. In this way, through dance, Moreno will create an amalgam of prints to sculpt her personality, distancing herself from her origins but without renouncing them. She will explore her own limits wandering between tradition and contemporaneity, and she will break her own taboos and fears, being at this point the dance a battle of opposite extremes.
