An anthology of 18 falsetas is also an anthology of the "palos" of flamenco repertoire - for one or two guitars, Manolo Franco recorded the second voice. The CD contents the original recordings falsetas transcribed for this anthology.
Born in Seville in 1960, trained by his uncle Manolo Barón and Antonio Osuna, Manolo Franco is recognized in 1984 as one of the flamenco guitar masters of his generation by a jury of Mario Escudero, Juan Habichuela, Victor Monge "Serranito" Manolo Sanlúcar, Paco de Lucia and Felix Grande, which awarded him the first "Giraldillo del toque" at the Biennial of Flamenco Art of Seville.
After recording his first and only solo album in 1986 ("Aljibe"), he devoted himself to the accompaniment of cante and collaborates with Carmen Linares, José Mercé, Calixto Sánchez, Diego Clavel ... to countless albums. By his inexhaustible melodic talent, served over a particularly precise and clear game, we can consider Manolo Franco as the worthy heir of the great Sevillian guitarists such Niño Ricardo Martinez or Pepe. It rarely repeats the same falseta in his recordings, and he inspired also shows regardless of the form it interprets, Soleá or Siguiriya as for Tanguillo or Fandangos "abandolaos".
